One of the most popular tools used during Word Work is a white board. If a small whiteboard is popular, how might students respond to a large one? Wait until you see! Allison Behne was struggling with the fact that she had desks in her room and wanted tables. She thought about grouping her desks and buying shower board to go over the tops of the desks to make them more like a table.
Renee Fynquist, Allison's teaching partner thought the shower board would make a great area for word work. She purchased the shower board at Lowe's for around $12.00. They cut it, free of charge, to fit her table and her husband rounded the corners so they weren't so sharp. We love the idea of using actual table space for word work. Thank you, Allison and Renee!
