The Art of Grieving

Tears shed for another person are not a sign of weakness. They are the sign of a pure heart.

We all go through times when we need to grieve. Whether it's the loss of a loved one or a separation from someone or something, we need to let ourselves feel the grief. I know that many of you have lost parents or partners. Some of you have lost pets or jobs, or experienced other significant losses in your life. It is critically important that we allow ourselves time and space to grieve.

Some people are comfortable grieving in public. Others grieve in private. There is no right or wrong way. If you are grieving, give yourself time and space to work through it. If someone you know is in the grief cycle, offer your support. Listen, cry with them, and just be there.

There is an art to grieving. Just as with all art, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is no judgment of art, and there is no judgment of grief. Support those you know and love during these difficult times, and share the beauty in the art of grieving.
