Gail Boushey
Dear friends and colleagues,
It’s hard to believe we’ve been learning and growing together here for 12 years already. Some of you have been with us since the beginning, when we launched with 100 pages of content in June 2006. It was always our vision that The Daily CAFE would be a gathering place where we could read, watch, listen, and grow together. We are tempted to pinch ourselves when we consider that this community has grown to include teachers from all over the world who now access about 2,500 pages of content.
This growth has brought a need for change, so we’ve been busy behind the scenes redesigning our web experience with you in mind. We are committed to growing and enhancing your experiences, and to continue to be the premier place where we can all gather to refine our teaching around the best practices of Daily 5, CAFE, Math Daily 3, and Classroom Design.
Be watching for our redesigned website to launch in July. We think the first thing you’ll discover is that it’s easier to find what you want when you need it. Navigating between articles, finding content that is just in time for your learning, discovering resources, and participating in conversations with colleagues will just be a click away.
We have always been able to count on members of our community to be strong and support one another. None of us can predict where education will be in the next 12 years. However, one step at a time, one page at a time, one student at a time, one teacher at a time, we can create the future we want for ourselves and our students. Thanks for being part of the journey. We look forward to continuing in community with you!
