Field Trip Writing

When we are fortunate enough to take our class on a field trip, It is beneficial for students to take time to write about their experience when they return. This allows them to reflect on the new knowledge and insights gained during the trip. Writing about the trip encourages students to organize their thoughts, recall details, and articulate their observations and reflections, enhancing their comprehension and retention of the learning content. Viewing the completed writing can also provide a great conversation starter for families at home. 

Whether writing about a walk the class took around the block, or a trip to the zoo, it is fun to see and read about the experience from the students' perspectives.
