In the past (before using CAFE) I would meet with students during Daily 5 and they would all read the same book that they kept in their ‘book baggie’ that were sent home every night. Their goal was to read at least 10 minutes at home at night. Then during Read to Self or Read to Someone, they used the books that were in their book boxes that they kept in my classroom. I’m unsure of how to use their ‘book baggies’ for take home books and for me to monitor that they are doing well with the books. Any suggestions? Thanks.
