Hi I am planning to come from Australia to Chicago in April 2015 for the April workshops on Daily 5 and CAFE. I am new to both of these and would love the opportunity to observe the Daily 5, CAFE and all the organisation that goes along with it in a classroom in Chicago. I currently teach year 4, 9 and 10 year age group. I’m sorry I’m not very IT literate to know how else to ask the question. Perhaps if you are interested in helping me out you could email me at [email protected]

Many thanks

Helen

Helen,
Are you aware of the Facebook page Daily 5 (SA) that was started by teachers in Australia? Many teachers there have exchanged ideas and places to visit to see Daily 5 and CAFE in practice. Perhaps you could visit places closer to home to get an idea of the structure and see D5 and CAFE prior to coming to Chicago.
Hopefully you’ll also hear folks in the Chicago area that you can visit, as well!

Thanks for the heads up. I had not heard of it… I am waiting to be ‘accepted’.

That will only take a day or so–I think everyone is accepted --even me from here in the middle of the States!! I think you’ll enjoy the conversations.
