Hi! It has been suggested to me that I find a different way to check in for rounds. We are working with Learning Sciences International. The goal is to increase rigor.
I have wracked my brain, looked at many ideas from other posts and teachers and have still not been able to think of the best way to have students do this. I am especially struggling with the check in for partners in math. I don’t want to lose the chance for kids to be choosing to work with many different kids.
I want it to be easy to do and easy for me and for kids to reference.
HELP!
Have you looked at the examples here on the site for math check in? Would either of these work? https://www.thedailycafe.com/content/math-daily-3-check
Do you use the web-based CCPensieve? If so, there is a dedicated math check in page that can be shown on whatever screen you have for kids to view. https://www.ccpensieve.com/checkin.php
