Hi there,
I’d like to know if there is a scope and sequence sample how the CAFE strategies should be introduced. Knowing the order in which thy ar introduced or is there complete flexibility?
After you do the launching lessons for Daily 5, a good resource is to keep in mind the 6-5-4-3 menu for strategies. https://www.thedailycafe.com/articles/Strategies-to-Start-With-6-5-4-3 . There is a short article there with a link to the menu with these strategies highlighted. As you read through this, and the link below to the Essentials, you’ll note that there is no specific order–it depends on the needs of your whole class, small groups, and individual students.
I would also recommend you download the Essential Element for CAFE and Daily 5.
