I am looking for new fresh ideas for small group time. I personally love conferring with kids 1 on 1, but want to be able to get to all my kids more efficiently. I teach 3rd and 4th grade (multi-age) and my students range from Kindergarten reading level up to 8th grade (it’s crazy!) Their wcpm ranges from 11-178, so I feel like the only way to address all their needs is individual or small group conferences. Any ideas? Programs you love? Any advice welcome
Thank you!
Have you read up on Strategy Groups? This way, you can work on the strategies the students need rather than only the reading levels.
