Brain Research In Action
This video is an example of brain research playing out in our classroom. The sound has been turned off, so you will be able to tune in to the actions of the students and not the words and lesson. The video starts 5 minutes into the lesson and ends at 7 minutes. The off task behaviors begin to show in the youngest learners; rolling a head, shaking the ponytail, blowing bubbles, laying on the floor, and rubbing the face against the chair. You may even find more and most importantly see that the length of a lesson does make a difference in the ability to stay focused.
