I need recommendations for new, modern chapter books that (second grade) will keep second graders interested. Books also need to be quality literature. We have all of the “old” favorites. Books that focus on kids using technology, would be great.
Do you know The Puppy Place series? Our 2nd graders love these. Probably you have Ivy and Bean, but if not, they are favorites, also.
Check out the Scholastic Branches books - several different series to appeal to different interests; they are chapter books, but still support with illustrations on every page.
