Janet models the accuracy strategy Do the Pictures and Words Match. The lesson is modeled for second graders, but would work just as well with students who are both younger and older. Janet introduces the strategy, and then has chosen three different words where she will stop and use the pictures and beginning and ending sounds to help her figure out and confirm the word she is reading.
