I have a non profit tutoring center and I want to start a summer program.
I do use it. I have a club/after school group, and I call them CheerReaders (TM) LOL! Anyways, I tautght them how to Select a Good Fit Book, and they are suppose to help the younger students select a Good Fit Book going through the I PICK process. As a teacher you know if your classroom library is not level, and it comes to independent reading, sometimes selecting a Good Fit book is TIME CONSUMING... especially for the younger kiddos, who only have 3- 4 words on a page =). I also taught them how to help during after school partner reading.
In addition, we perform (dance/cheer) for the school when we have school activities or Reading Incentive programs in March for Read Accros America. It's a fun way to add to the CheerReader program =)
